For horses with a Life Recording:

• The transfer fee of $60 must be submitted with the USEF Lifetime Recording certificate signed by the last recorded owner(s) or a copy of a Bill of Sale signed by the last recorded owner(s).

For horses with an Active Annual Recording:

• The transfer fee of $60 must be submitted with the USEF Annual Recording certificate signed by the last recorded owner(s) or a copy of a Bill of Sale signed by the last recorded owner(s).
• The transfer fee will be waived if the member is upgrading the Annual Recording to a Life Recording ($125) when transferring.

For horses with an Inactive (Expired) Annual Recording:

• The horse id certificate or the expired annual horse recording certificate signed by the last recorded owner(s) or a copy of a Bill of Sale signed by the last recorded owner(s). There is no fee to transfer, however the fee of $75 for Annual Recording or $200 for Lifetime Recording must be submitted if recording/renewing the horse.

USEF does not accept agent's signatures as authorization for an ownership transfer. A parent (or legal guardian) signature is required for a minor. If the signature of the last recorded owner is not available, an Ownership Affidavit must be completed and notarized. It must explain why the required signature is not available and submitted with proof of ownership (bill of sale, cancelled check, registration papers).

Transfers become effective the date that the proper forms (with required signature(s)) and fees are received at the USEF office. (GR1105)

For horses with USHJA Registration:

• If the horse only has a USHJA Registration, the transfer fee is $20. The fee must be submitted with a copy of a Bill of Sale signed by the last recorded owner(s).

All horses competing in United States Equestrian Federation non-breed restricted licensed competitions with Hunter, Hunter Breeding, Pony Hunter Breeding, Jumper and Hunter Seat Equitation classes (except those activities enumerated in GR901.9, items 1-9) must be properly identified and must obtain a registration number from USHJA. A registration number for each horse must be entered on all entry forms for USEF licensed competitions. Only one registration number will be issued per horse and must remain with the horse throughout its career. USEF Life Recorded horses recorded before November 30, 2008 are exempt from the requirement to have a USHJA Registration Number and their USEF Recording number will serve as a USHJA Registration number.

All horses, riders, drivers, and vaulters (members of a team in vaulting - only the team as a team, the longeur and the horse must be registered) competing in any and all international FEI competitions, regardless of the star level or location of the competition. Even if the horse has an FEI passport, it must also have an annual FEI Registration number. Registration of riders under 18 or until the end of the year in which they reach their 18th birthday is required but free of charge.

Dressage Test Score Sheets may be downloaded and printed by clicking USEF Login, once successfully logged into your "My USEF Account" you will find the Dressage Test Score Sheets under the "Other Options" section.

Dressage Test booklets may also be ordered by submitting this Form.

Dressage bit questions should be submitted in writing with a picture of the bit to Jenny Van Wieren in the Dressage Dept. USEF does have a Dressage Attire and Equipment booklet available online HERE.

Point corrections may be submitted electronically via the Corrections Wizard or e-mailed to corrections@usef.org. Follow-up and resolution of the points correction will be sent via e-mail.
