US Equestrian Announces Remaining FEI Nations Cup™ Teams for World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen

A group of 18 athletes to represent the U.S. across five featured disciplines

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian has announced The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team, the U.S. Driving Team, and the NetJets® U.S. Jumping Team that will compete in the 2019 World Equestrian Festival CHIO Aachen, July 12-21, in Aachen, Germany. These teams will join the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team, previously announced and three U.S. vaulters, who will compete in individual competition. 

Dressage

The following athlete-horse combinations will comprise The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team for FEI Nations Cup Germany led by Chef d’Equipe Debbie McDonald:

Katherine Bateson-Chandler (Wellington, Fla.) and Alcazar, Jane Clark’s 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding 

Shelly Francis (Loxahatchee, Fla.) and Danilo, Patricia Stempel’s 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding

Adrienne Lyle (Wellington, Fla.) and Salvino, Betsy Juliano LLC’s 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion

Steffen Peters (San Diego, Calif.) and Suppenkasper, Four Winds Farm and Akiko Yamazaki’s 11-year-old KWPN gelding

The FEI Dressage Nations Cup Germany will consist of the Grand Prix CDIO5* on Thursday, July 18, and the Grand Prix Special CDIO5* on Saturday, July 20. The Grand Prix Freestyle CDIO5* will take place on Sunday, July 21, for individual honors.

The following U.S. dressage athlete-horse combination will compete in the Aachen CDI4*:

Adrienne Lyle and Harmony’s Duval, Duval Partners LLC’s 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Driving

The following athletes and their team of horses will compete in the FEI Driving Nations Cup Aachen CAIO4*:

Chester Weber (Ocala, Fla.) competing with his team of horses: Amadeus, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Boris W, a 13-year-old KWPN gelding; First Edition, a 10-year-old KWPN gelding; Gouveneur, an eight-year-old KWPN gelding; and Reno, a 10-year-old gelding of unknown breeding

Misdee Wrigley-Miller (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) competing with her team of horses: Alonso, a 10-year-old KWPN gelding; Bravour 54, a 13-year-old KWPN gelding; and Daan 8, an 11-year-old KNHS gelding. She will also compete with Flash 279, Georg von Stein’s 12-year-old gelding of unknown breeding, and Zindgraaf, Exell Holding BV’s 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding. 

The FEI Driving Nations Cup Aachen CAIO4* will begin Thursday, July 18, with driven dressage followed by the marathon phase on Saturday. The competition will conclude on Sunday, July 21, with the cones phase.

Jumping

The following athletes will comprise the NetJets U.S. Jumping Team for FEI Jumping Nations Cup Aachen CSIO5* led by Chef D’Equipe Robert Ridland:

Kent Farrington (Wellington, Fla.)

Laura Kraut (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.)

Beezie Madden (Cazenovia, N.Y.)

Nicole Shahinian-Simpson (Wellington, Fla.)

McLain Ward (Brewster, N.Y.)

The FEI Jumping Nations Cup Aachen CSIO5* will take place on Thursday, July 18 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The U.S. Nations Cup horses will be announced at a later date. Check USA Jumping on Facebook and US Equestrian on Twitter for updates.

Vaulting

The following vaulting athletes will compete as individuals in the CHIO Aachen CVIO4* taking place Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13:

Kristian Roberts (Moss Beach, Calif.) with Laser 19, Rufv Schwagstorf’s 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding, and longeur Tanja Evers

Emily Rose (Santa Cruz, Calif.) with Cadans B, Marieke Nijenhuis’s 12-year-old KPWN gelding, and longeur Nienke de Wolff

Geoffrey Woolson (Tujunga, Calif.) with Dutch Elliot Z, Nienke de Wolff and T.J. Wolff’s 10-year-old Zangersheide gelding, and longeur Nienke de Wolff
