Skylar Wireman sat on a horse for the first time before she could walk and grew up spending time with her mom at their barn each day. She had a highly successful junior career, including titles in the 2020 Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Finals – West, 2022 USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic – West, 2022 World Equestrian Center Premier Equitation Cup, and a reserve champion title in the 2022 Dover Saddlery/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final. Wireman also competed in the 2021 and 2022 FEI North American Youth Championships.
In 2023, Wireman earned several wins throughout the year. She earned two back-to-back CSI2* wins--her first FEI wins--with Crunch K at Hits Del Mar. Wireman and Citoki won the Murieta Inn Spa and Restaurant Speed with Citoki at the Sacramento International Horse Show, followed by another win in the $39,000 Las Vegas National "Double or Nothing" Speed Stake at the Las Vegas National Horse Show. Wireman partnered with Tornado to take top honors in the $250,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Fort Worth presented by Lugano Diamonds at the Fort Worth International.
Wireman made her senior championship debut at the 2024 FEI Jumping World Cup Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Tornado. The pair ultimately opted to retire before the final day of competition, but produced strong results through the first two days of competition. Most recently, Wireman was named to the U.S. Jumping Team with Tornado for the 2025 Longines FEI League of Nations Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she helped the team finish in tenth place.
