Pathway Programs

As the spring season moves into the long format time of the year, we look to recognize the achievements of the USEF Emerging and Development Program athletes from the start of the season.

The Development Program athletes did not pick up a single cross-country penalty this spring. Emily Hamel and Corvett put in a personal best at the Futures Team Challenge at the Carolina International CCI4*-S. Mia Farley and Phelps followed up their debut 5* appearance at last year’s Maryland 5 Star with a second double clear at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L. Farley preceded Kentucky with a win in her prep event with Phelps and a personal best dressage score on BGS Calculated Chaos. Alyssa Phillips topped the CCI4*-S at TerraNova leading into their departure for the European Development Tour. Jenny Caras did not add a cross-country or show jumping penalty to their dressage scores as they prepared for the European Development Tour.

The Emerging Program athletes also had great starts to their seasons with several topping their divisions including Alex Baugh, Molly Duda, and Elsa Warble. As with the Development Program athletes, we have seen personal best dressage scores from Meg Pellegrini and Maddie Hale this year. UK-based Cosby Green led a very competitive Thoresby Park CCI4*-S before adding planned time to her final score.

The Futures Team Challenge made a comeback to the eventing programs at Carolina International and we look forward to hosting a West Coast addition in October at Woodside International. More information will be available at the end of May.
