Located in New York, N.Y., the Metropolitan Equestrian Team (MET) provides a supportive, encouraging environment that instills in students a sense of belonging, equity, and inclusion for all. MET believes all young riders should have access to the life lessons that come with being part of the equestrian community.
The MET programming focuses on both equestrian mounted activities and academic achievement programs. As a part of the organization’s structure, MET student athletes are provided with assistance in the form of college preparation, college scholarship opportunities, and other education programs that allow them to grow outside the classroom.
Another highlight of MET is their Equine Opportunity Program (EOP), which allows riders from across the country to become as creative as they want through their educational, equine-specific programming. Students can ride in any discipline and work towards their goal(s) regardless of riding level or location. EOP riders have the drive and ambition to make their dreams a reality. Each student is provided with platforms for fundraising and access to all education resources, including Google classroom, http://EquestrianCoach.com, Alternative Learning Program, and collegiate academic advisors.
