Three U.S. combinations head to Omaha, Neb., for the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final presented by Havensafe Farm held during the FEI World Cup™ Finals Omaha 2023. The U.S. dressage duos of Anna Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce, Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper, and Alice Tarjan and Serenade MF get the added benefit of performing in front of a home crowd at this year’s Final. They will head down centerline in the Grand Prix on Wednesday, April 5, and the winner will be determined by the Freestyle on Friday, April 7. Anna Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce
Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce make their second consecutive FEI Dressage World Cup Final appearance after competing in their first Final last year in Leipzig, Germany. They spent the spring of 2022 competing in Europe, finishing second in the Achleiten CDI4* Grand Prix. Buffini and FRH Davinia la Douce had several top performances during the FEI Dressage World Cup - North American League 2022/2023 season. The pair was second in the Grand Prix and Freestyle at Desert Dressage II, III, and IV on the West Coast before winning the Grand Prix and Freestyle at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby on the East Coast.
Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper
Peters makes his sixth FEI Dressage World Cup Final appearance this year, riding Suppenkasper. He won the 2009 Final in Las Vegas, Nev., with Ravel, and he last appeared in the previous Omaha Final in 2017 with Rosamunde. In 2022, Peters and Suppenkasper were members of The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team at the ECCO FEI World Championships in Herning, Denmark, that earned an Olympic berth for Paris 2024. The pair dominated the FEI Dressage World Cup - North American League 2022/2023 qualifying events on the West Coast, winning the Grand Prix and Freestyle at Desert Dressage II, III, and IV.
Tarjan and Serenade MF make their FEI Dressage World Cup Final debut in Omaha. The pair had an exciting year in 2022 as part of the silver medal-winning team at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ The Netherlands CDIO5* and finishing third in the Grand Prix Special at CHIO Rotterdam. Upon returning to the U.S., Tarjan and Serenade MF won the USEF Grand Prix Dressage National Championship at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions. The duo had solid performances during the FEI Dressage World Cup - North American League 2022/2023 season, highlighted by wins in the Grand Prix and Freestyle at Dressage at Devon.
