Lexington, Ky. – Registration is officially open for the 2018 US Equestrian Federation (USEF) Annual Meeting taking place Wednesday, January 17- Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency Lexington in Lexington, Ky. The four-day event offers plenty of opportunities to network and hear about the progress around equestrian sport from USEF leadership and others in the industry. From specific discipline-focused meetings to moderated forums, attendees will come away with increased knowledge to move the sport forward. It is important that anyone interested in attending book hotel accommodations as early as possible.
The iconic Pegasus Awards dinner and Horse of the Year Awards will be held in conjunction with the 2018 USEF Annual Meeting. The Pegasus Awards dinner will now take place on a new night—Thursday, January 18—and will honor some of the most distinguished men and woman in the sport, including the Lifetime Achievement Award, Equestrian of the Year, and Junior Equestrian of the Year award recipients. The Horse of the Year Awards dinner will follow on Friday, January 19, and will recognize Grand Champions, National Champions, and National Reserve Champions in each discipline. Those who think they may be a Horse of the Year Award winner should book their hotel rooms early, as rooms will be extremely limited on Friday evening.
“The USEF Annual Meeting is always a great opportunity to catch up with those around the industry, learn from one another, and work on solutions that will take equestrian sport to new levels,” said USEF Chief Executive Officer, Bill Moroney. “More importantly, it allows us, as the guardians of equestrian sport, to stay accountable to our membership and affiliates, explaining what we accomplished over the past year and what we plan to implement next year as we continue to bring the joy of horse sports to as many people as possible. We have a lot to be proud of and celebrate.”
USEF has secured a group room rate of $153 plus tax per night for anyone attending the 2018 USEF Annual Meeting or awards ceremonies. Advance registration for the 2018 USEF Annual Meeting is $100 and must be received by December 15, 2017, to qualify for the discounted registration rate; after December 15, attendees must register on site and pay $125. On-site registration will open on January 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lexington Center.
Tickets for the Horse of the Year Awards and Pegasus Awards dinners are each $100 per person and are separate from the 2018 USEF Annual Meeting registration.
