Something for All the USEF/USEF Network Social Media Supporters

by Andrew Minnick | Jul 24, 2013, 1:52 PM

To everyone that likes, tweets, posts, and shares with USEF, USEF Network, and Equestrian Magazine,

I have a lot of fun doing what I do, and if it weren't for you, well, it wouldn't be as much fun. I'd love to reward each and every one of you just for interacting with us, but I'm just one social media guy. So instead let's have some fun (and give one of you a prize while we're at it).

The first ever Andrew Minnick Social Media Gratitude Contest (name pending personal approval, but it works for now) started yesterday when I merged the following three thoughts. - Vine is fun. -  Wouldn't it be fun to mashup George Morris quotes with pop culture and see what happens. - I've just discovered this aHorseBox thing (via tweet from @horsegirltv), it's a lot like BarkBox (which my dogs like), I bet most of the people I interact with every day would like it. - So now I'm giving away one month of aHorseBox to whoever comes up with and shares the best #MorrisMashup video by August 1st.* It doesn't have to be through Vine (6 seconds isn't much time), but try and keep it under 15 seconds (Instagram users, this is for you). Strictly speaking, there are only two rules.

1. Mashup something George Morris has said with something else in a short video. It can be fun, serious, helpful, sad (if that's what you want), just remember to keep it civil. George's clinics are full of one-liners, so material shouldn't be too hard to find. Take a look here or here if you need inspiration.

2. Share your creative mashup on twitter or facebook using the #MorrisMashup hashtag, or send directly to me on twitter at @ahminnick, by August 1st. If you need to dm me just ask, I'll follow you back.

So there you have it. Let's see how creative you all can be. Happy mashing :),

*This is a contest put forward by Andrew Minnick and shared through USEF and USEF Network social media channels, not an official USEF contest. If you're looking for one of those, Equestrian Magazine's got 'em.
