Lexington, KY- The 44 entries in the US National Pony Jumper Championships began their quests toward National Titles Wednesday evening in the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena. Held August 7-9 as part of the US Pony Finals, these annual championships host the best pony jumper competitors from throughout the United States.
Wednesday’s first Individual Phase was the first of four rounds to be jumped over Marc Donovan’s well-built tracks. Held as a clear round class, tonight’s course saw 26 of the entries post fault-free efforts. These competitors head into Thursday’s Team Competition on zero faults. Two rounds will be jumped tomorrow evening in Alltech Arena to determine team standings, additionally the faults posted over both rounds will count towards individual classification.
The Individual Champion for 2013 will be crowned following the conclusion of Friday’s Jumper Individual Final.
