Waco, TX
– Georgia is the nation’s No. 1 team according to the National Collegiate Equestrian Association Preseason Rankings, as determined by the NCEA selection committee and announced Monday.

The Bulldogs were the runners-up a year ago for both the NCEA Overall National Championship and the NCEA Hunter Seat National Championship. Auburn, which won the 2013 NCEA Overall National Championship and the NCEA Hunter Seat National Championship, is ranked No. 2 in the preseason, while 2013 Southeastern Conference Champion South Carolina checks in at No. 3.

Oklahoma State, the 2013 NCEA Western Champion and the 2013 Big 12 Conference Champion, is ranked No. 4, while Big-12 runner-up Kansas State is No. 5.

Texas A&M, the 2012 NCEA Overall National Champion, is ranked at No. 6 to begin the season, while Baylor checks in at No. 7.
