(Lexington, KY) – USEF members are invited to obtain updates and weigh-in on issues at an International Forum, Saturday, February 4 in Wellington, FL. The forum will provide updates on news concerning upcoming international events and issues. Among the topics of discussions are the following:
• 2006 World Equestrian Games planning and hospitality
• 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong
• 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Kentucky
• 2012 Olympic Games in London
• FEI Strategic Planning Committee Report
• USEF issues and strategies for the 2006 FEI
General Assembly
• Recent USEF Restructuring
Additionally, there will be breakout sessions by discipline to discuss discipline specific international issues. These sessions will be conducted by the USEF Managing Directors of each sport with input from USEF Chief Executive Officer John Long; Executive Director of Sports Programs Jim Wolf; and Kate Jackson, the FEI Group IV Chairman and FEI Bureau Member.
The location of the International Forum is the Blue Ribbon Club, adjacent to the announcer’s tower, and overlooking the Internationale Arena in Wellington. The session will begin at 5:00 p.m. after the end of the day’s activities in the arena.
