The 2005 National Pleasure Horse Award winners have been named in eight divisions, all of which are based on a high-point scoring system. All registered American Saddlebreds are eligible for these awards without payment of additional fees.

The National Pleasure Horse Awards are based on a formula that favors horses that are consistent winners across the country. The system, which crowns eight champions, is based on the USEF rating of the show and the number of entries in the class. For the first time, there was a tie in one of the divisions, showing how important every class and every performance really is. The final top-10 points standing can be found online at www.asha.net/files/2005standings.pdf.

USEF Judges Clinic
The United States Equestrian Federation will offer a Saddle Seat Equitation, American Saddlebred, Roadster and Hackney Judges’ Clinics Tuesday and Wednesday, February 14-15, 2006, at Tattersalls in Lexington, KY, before the start of the Saddlebred Summit.

Panelists for these clinics are Gayle Lampe, Sandra Lilly, Jimmy Robertson and Sam Brannon, and will feature live demonstrations in each division. This judges’ seminar is open to licensed officials, applicants or silent auditors.
