The Search is on for A New USEF CEO
by USEF Communications Department | Nov 24, 2013, 4:06 PM
The volunteer leadership, as well as staff, genuinely appreciate the dedication, integrity, and vision John has provided for the Federation. Accordingly, it is now time to begin the search for a new CEO who will continue that same tradition of excellence and innovation in leading the USEF into the future. An executive search committee, comprised of members representing several breeds and disciplines, is already hard at work leading this process.
The committee members - Murray Kessler, Chair; Patrick Garner; Tucker Johnson; Misdee Wrigley Miller; Cynthia Richardson; and Howard Simpson - report directly to USEF President Chrystine Tauber, and have been tasked with the objective of seating a new CEO upon majority vote by the USEF Board of Directors at its meeting in the Spring of 2014.
Long is actively participating in the process and joins Tauber and the search committee members in engaging Joe Bailey, who leads the Global Sports team within the recruiting firm RSR Partners, to conduct the search. A position specification has been approved and is available here.
Individuals interested in the position may inquire by contacting Joe Bailey directly. Review of interested individuals will be performed by the end of the year, and candidate interviews will begin in January, 2014.
