Waco, Tx.
- Many changes were seen in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association national team rankings, released Monday by the NCEA Selection Committee, including a new No. 1 team in Baylor.

The Bears move into the nation’s top spot with a 5-1 overall record, most recently defeating Oklahoma State. South Carolina, which is 5-2 on the season and is coming off a 12-6 win against Auburn, checks in at No. 2 nationally. Auburn, with a 3-1 record and a win against previous No. 1-team Georgia, is No. 3.

Georgia falls from the top-ranked spot to No. 4 following a narrow 10-9 win against Texas A&M and a 12-8 loss at Auburn. New Mexico State is 7-2 on the year and now ranked No. 5 following wins against TCU and South Dakota State.

Oklahoma State checks in at No. 6 nationally after a 14-5 win against Big 12 Conference foe TCU on Saturday. Kansas State is ranked No. 7, following wins against SMU and UT-Martin.

TCU drops from No. 3 to No. 8 in the latest poll, following losses to Oklahoma State and New Mexico State and a tie against South Dakota State.

Texas A&M, which lost to then-top-ranked Georgia, remains at No. 9, while SMU is steady at No. 10.

NCEA rankings will be released twice per month.

The 2014 NCEA Championships take place April 17-19 in Waco, Texas, marking the first year one championship will be contested, rather than separate championships by disciplines.
