Applicants must select the event(s) they are planning to attend from the list of pre-determined competitions. Additional events may be added to the application after submission. The riders will be sent a sticker for their cross country pinney holder to help identify them. The list of applicants will be sent to the Talent Spotters before each event they are tasked with watching.
The Talent Spotters will report to the Talent Advisors which will select the best riders to be part of the program by August 8, 2014. Training camp dates and location will be determined by the Eventing High Performance Committee based on the geographic location of riders.
The Eventing 18 program was a new initiative in 2013, the goal of which is to build a foundation of future horsemen and women that will hopefully go on to represent our country. This is the beginning of the Athlete Pipeline. Selection into the program will be based on talent, competitiveness, commitment and potential.
