Helen Krieble, the Founder of the Colorado Horse Park, received the prestigious Colorado Hunter Jumper Association (CHJA) Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual CHJA Banquet. “I am overwhelmed and honored by the support of the hunter/jumper community,” Krieble stated. “The Colorado Hunter Jumper Association and its members have played a key role in the success of the Colorado Horse Park.”

The Colorado Horse Park evolved from High Prairie Farms, which began as a community equestrian center. Krieble introduced the state to the idea of the Colorado Horse Park and has worked tirelessly for a number of years to bring the concept to fruition. In 2004, the Colorado Horse Park became a full-fledged 501(c)(3) not for profit foundation whose purpose is to showcase the history and heritage of the West using the horse as the primary teaching tool through hands-on educational programming, museum exhibitions, competitions, boarding and training, recreation and entertainment for all ages. “Hunter/jumper shows will always be an important element at The Colorado Horse Park,” Krieble said.

In addition to her work at the Park, Krieble has served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Horse Council and the Colorado Horse Development Authority, as well on the Marketing Committee of the American Horse Shows Association, the national governing body of equestrian sports (now the United States Equestrian Federation.) In 2005, Krieble received the Horse Person of the Year Award from the Colorado Horse Council.
