Thomas Farm's stallions Pharaoh and Gallarius have returned to the United States after their nearly three-year sojourn standing at Gestut Tannenhof in Germany. Susan Thomas chose to give her stallions the opportunity to stand in Germany and continue their training under Oliver and Katrine Luze. Oliver had worked with the stallions earlier in their lives and thought so highly of them he welcomed the opportunity to add them to the Gestut Tannenhof line-up. Oliver Luze is the trainer of Anja Plonzke, who recently won the Frankfurt CDI-W World Cup-qualifier aboard Tannenhof's Solero TSF.
Two American-raised stallions, impressively received in Germany both by breeders and in sport, now return home for North American breeders to access once more. Pharaoh was campaigned on the small tour under Oliver and Katrina Luze, and he placed in every competition. Gallarius primarily campaigned at the stallion and jumping shows. Both stallions now have offspring developing in Germany to further their legacy.
Pharaoh was last seen in sport under Michael Barisone in this country, campaigning up through grand prix on the Florida circuit, at prestigious events such as Dressage At Devon and Gladstone, in addition to competitions throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic region. Gallarius was active on the open jumper circuit under Joe Fargis and also competed through Prix St. Georges under Barisone.
Gallarius and Pharaoh are hallmark stallions for the American stallion performance testing system. Both stallions were tested at the 1992 100-Day Stallion Performance Test in Rancha Murietta, CA. Gallarius was reserve champion and Pharaoh placed fourth. Pharaoh and Gallarius will stand in Hilltop Farm's Guest Stallion program.
