base at Raylyn Farms in Frederick, Maryland.

The 9-year-old Wurttemburger gelding, owned by Raylyn Farms Inc. and Phoebe and Michael Manders, had recently completed the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by Land Rover in fifth place with Marilyn Little. They were one of only five combinations to add no faults on the course country or show jumping to finish on their dressage score.

“My greatest thanks to RF Smoke On The Water, the mightiest champion with the wings on his feet; you were the littlest horse with the biggest of names. Thank you for your heart, may you always know that you have captured mine,” said Little. “You are forever loved, and you will always be missed my friend.”
