Fairfield, USHJA's Zone 1 Member's Choice, Offers the Best Performance Competition

Westport, Conn. - May 21, 2014 - Voted the USHJA Zone 1 Member's Choice for two years in a row, the Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show (Fairfield) is a dynamic, community event with free admission that welcomes the public to experience top equestrian competition up close and personal and offers activities for the entire family. The show benefits the EQUUS Foundation and will now also offer the Best Performance Competition, the joint program of the EQUUS Foundation and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) that rewards competitive excellence and helps improve the quality of life of horses.

Rated "Premier", the highest USEF rating, Fairfield is one of only 16 horse shows recognized with the USEF Heritage Designation - a distinction reserved for horse shows not only dedicated to technical excellence but also philanthropy and community involvement.

Highlights include the $7,500 Poland Spring Welcome Jumper Stake on Thursday, and on Saturday, the $25,000 Fairfield Grand Prix presented by Wells Fargo Advisors LLC & George N. Venizelos along with Family Fun Day sponsored by Nestlè Waters North America with shopping and pony rides.
