The annual stallion service auction of the American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA), which had more than 70 stallions, brought in nearly $140,000, which will be split between the Association’s 10 regional shows, the World Morgan Futurity and marketing for the Morgan breed. The AMHA was held during the annual convention in Lexington, KY, February 15-18.
Taking the top bid was multi-world champion Stonecroft Trilogy, owned by Stonecroft Farm and purchased by Cedar Meadow Morgan Farm for $5,700. The second highest bid was Mizrahi, owned by PlayMor Farm and purchased by Sandra Nelson for $5,600. Another world champion, And The Beat Goes On, owned by Dragonsmeade Farm, was the third-highest bid and was purchased by Daniel Peachey for $5,050.
