UPDATED: USEF Names Ranked Alternates and Traveling Reserves for the Squad for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games

Lexington, Ky. - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has ranked the six alternates for the Squad for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. Additionally, the top three ranked combinations will serve as Traveling Reserves to the Squad.

The following combinations will serve as alternates to the Squad for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games (in ranked order):

Marilyn Little (Frederick, Md.) and Team Demeter’s RF Demeter
RF Demeter is a 2002 Oldenburg mare.

Hannah Sue Burnett (The Plains, Va.) and Jacqueline Mars’ Harbour Pilot
Harbour Pilot is a 2003 Irish Sport Horse gelding.

Meghan O’Donoghue (Carbondale, Ill.) and her own Pirate
Pirate is a 2002 Thoroughbred gelding.

Phillip Dutton (West Grove, Pa.) and Bruce Duchossois’ Mighty Nice
Mighty Nice is a 2004 Irish Sport Horse gelding.

Buck Davidson (Ocala, Fla.) and Carl and Cassandra Segal’s Park Trader
Park Trader is a 2002 Irish Thoroughbred gelding. (Withdrawn from the selection process on August 19, 2014)

Boyd Martin (Cochranville, Pa.) and the Trading Aces LLC’s Trading Aces
Trading Aces is a 2004 Irish Sport Horse gelding.

As Traveling Reserves, Little, Burnett, and O’Donoghue will accompany the Squad for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games to France. Dutton and Davidson will also bring Mighty Nice and Park Trader along with their Squad horses, Trading Aces and Ballynoe Castle RM, to France to continue preparation for the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials CCI4*, September 4-7, 2014 in Stamford, England.

Alternate Lauren Kieffer withdrew Team Rebecca, LLC’s 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare Veronica from the selection process and will re-route to the Les Étoiles de Pau CCI4*, October 22-26, 2014 in Pau, France.
