U.S. Show Jumping Riders for FEI World Cup Final Announced

Lexington, KY – The show jumping riders representing the United States at the 2006 FEI World Cup Final are now official. The United States is permitted to send 10 riders, seven from the East Coast League and three from the West Coast League, to compete in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 26–30. The USEF announced today that the horse and rider combinations are as follows:

From the East Coast League:
1.Margie Goldstein-Engle - two horses:
Hidden Creek Alibi, Holsteiner gelding, age 12, owned by Hidden Creek Farm, Inc. and Michael Polaski.
Quervo Gold, Belgian Warmblood gelding, age 13, owned by Wyndhurst Stables, Inc.

2.Laura Kraut and Anthem, KWPN Dutch Warmblood gelding, age 15, owned by Summit Syndicate.

3.McLain Ward and Goldika, Holsteiner mare, age 14, owned by the Double H Farm.

4.Kent Farrington and Madison, Dutch Warmblood mare, age 10, owned by Alexa Weeks.

5.Beezie Madden and Judgement, NA/KWPM Stallion, age 15, owned by Iron Spring Farm, Inc.

6.Alison Firestone and Secret Love, Belgian Warmblood mare, age 11, owned by Bertram R. Firestone

7.Jimmy Torano and Marlo, Warmblood mare, age 9, owned by Jimmy Torano

Alternate: Kim Prince, Couletto K. James, Hanoverian gelding, age 10, owned by Overlook Farm, and Marlou, KWPN Dutch Warmblood mare, age 12, owned by Windmill Ranch, LLC.

From the West Coast League:
1.Rich Fellers and McGuiness, Irish bred gelding, age 11, owned by Harry H. and Mollie Chapman.

2.Richard Spooner and Camaron Hills Shanroe, Irish Sport Horse gelding, age 11, owned by Camaron Hills Farm

3.Joie Gaitlin and Suncal’s King, Holsteiner gelding, age 15, owned by Canyon Capital, Inc.

Alternate: Rebecca Hofman and Corona, Holsteiner mare, age 11, owned by Blue Hill Farm, LLC.

“We have a strong group of riders and we view this as an excellent opportunity to give some new faces experience in international competition. With the World Equestrian Games in Germany this August and the Super League beginning next month in Europe, we can also give some of our short listed riders a good start to the season,” said Sally Ike, USEF Managing Director of Show Jumping. “We’re looking forward to a new venue in Kuala Lumpur and showing the best in our sport to new fans in Asia.”
