– Team medals were on the line Friday evening at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show as eight teams and a further 32 individuals went to task for two rounds of jumping over a Michel Vaillancourt designed course in the 2014 Randolph College/USEF National Junior Jumper Championship. By way of nearly immaculate jumping Zone 4 earned Team Gold, as a jump-off between Zones 2 and 5 would be needed to determined Silver and Bronze.

Led by Chef d’Equipe Kim Land Zone 4 finished round one on a score of zero and clinched Gold by only collecting four faults in round two. As the pathfinder for the team Virginia Ingram produced zero and four fault rounds, respectively, on Urban. While second in the order, Louise Graves also jumped to totals of zero and four on Zavira. Tori Colvin and Don Juan, jumping third for Zone 4, were one of only three combinations to produce a double clear on Friday to help keep the team atop the leaderboard. After an eight fault effort in round one, anchor rider Haley Waters and Qurint delivered a clear round in the second round to seal the victory for Zone 4.

After two rounds, Zone 2 composed of Lucy Deslauriers with Hester (4,0), Lauren Fischer with Offenbach Du Granit (4,0), Victoria Press with Cayenne 140 (4,0), and Michael Hughes with Luxina (0,8) stood tied with Zone 5 made up of Giavanna Rinaldi with G.P.S. Brilliant Disguise (0,0), Alex Bozorgi with Navy Blue Tarroy (8, Eliminated), Vivian Yowan with Vornado Van Den Hoendrick (4,0), and Meredith Darst with Zenith Dance (0,4) stood tied on a score of eight.

In the jump-off, Rinaldi represented Zone 5 producing a speedy eight fault round. With Deslauriers coming back to represent Zone 2 jumping a steady clear round to seal Silver for Zone 2 and leave Zone 5 with the Bronze medal.

The team medal ceremony will take place on Sunday afternoon prior to the conclusion of the Individual Championship.
