Del Mar International Horse Show Begins

- West Palms Events' final show of the season, the Del Mar International Horse Show, kicks off Wednesday, October 15 and runs through Sunday, October 26. The Del Mar Fairgrounds, a premier equestrian venue in Del Mar, Calif., is home to this world class show jumping event, hosting multiple season finals and the exciting Villas at Rancho Valencia World Cup Grand Prix of Del Mar!

During the Del Mar International Horse Show, some exciting classes to watch during the Welcome Week, from Oct. 15-19, include the Fleeceworks Grand Prix Hunter Derby Presented by Mark & Julie Hancock of Camelot Homes on Friday, Oct. 17, the Del Mar Welcome Grand Prix on Saturday, Oct. 18, and the Grand Prix of the Pacific on Sunday, Oct. 19.

The World Cup Week, from Oct. 22-26, hosts many exciting championship classes, including: the Welcome Stake on Thursday, Oct. 23, the Grand Prix Hunter Derby Final, presented by Davlyn Farms on Friday, Oct. 24, the PCHA/Equine Insurance Children's/Adult Jumper Championship on Friday, Oct. 24.

Friday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Oct. 25 hold a great deal of excitement! Friday evening at 5:30PM, please join us to watch the grand prix riders draw their order of go for Saturday night's Villas at Rancho Valencia World Cup Grand Prix of Del Mar, presented by California Horsetrader Magazine! Also enjoy West Palms' exhilarating launch party for our new show venue in 2015, Paso Robles Horse Park. The inaugural Paso Robles Horse Park show is the Central California Classic from May 28-31, 2015.

The Villas at Rancho Valencia World Cup Grand Prix of Del Mar is a World Cup qualifying event as well as a Thermal Million qualifying event and the performance begins at 7PM on Saturday, Oct. 25. This event draws in world class competitors to the Del Mar International Horse Show in a chase for points for the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals, held in Las Vegas, NV, April 15-19, 2015. The Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals will occur at the Thomas and Mack Center right off the strip in Las Vegas.
