Del Mar, Calif. - West Palms Events' final show of the season, the Del Mar International Horse Show, finished the Welcome Week competition today at the Del Mar Fairgrounds with a bang with the Grand Prix of the Pacific! With a challenging course designed by Marina Azevedo, the 33 entries of riders and their horses, took on the final class of the Welcome Week!

"The week has been filled with tough competition and challenging courses, including this afternoon's Grand Prix of the Pacific" said Dale Harvey of West Palms Events. "It has been a great week of world class show jumping here at the Del Mar Fairgrounds."

The Grand Prix of the Pacific was a tight class, with Josephina Nor Lantzman and Chello Z edging out Darragh Kenny and his Chin Quidam VDL for first by only .03 seconds and Bliss Heers and her ride Contendra 22 won third behind first place by .33 seconds! The riders kept their turns tidy and maintained a quick pace to challenge the field of athletes. This evening, we saw seven double clear rounds in the class, with close times between first through third.
