NCEA Announces October Riders of the Month

- The National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Tuesday announced its October Riders of the Month, as determined by the NCEA selection committee and honoring standout performances from the second month of collegiate equestrian.

Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month: Kaitlin Perry, TCU
• Recorded a perfect 3-0 record in Equitation Over Fences for the month of October, earning one MVP honor.
• Each of her three victories came away from home.
• Averaged a score of 81.7 for her three October competitions, helping her team to a 2-1 overall NCEA record.

Equitation On The Flat Rider of the Month: Elizabeth Solomon, New Mexico State
• Charted a 4-0 record in Equitation On The Flat for the month of October with two of her victories coming away from home.
• Earned two MVP honors during the month of October and averaged a score of 73.5 for the month.
• Helped her team to a 3-1 record in the competitions in which she competed in October.

Horsemanship Rider of the Month: Paige Stawicki, Georgia
• Posted a perfect 3-0 record in Horsemanship in the month of October with all three victories coming away from home.
• Earned two MVP honors in her three victories in the month of October.
• Holds the SEC’s highest horsemanship score this season against conference-only competition (75.5) and it is tied for the second-highest score in the conference overall (all competitions).
• Averaged a score of 74 over her three horsemanship competitions in October.

Reining Rider of the Month: Kyndall Harper, Georgia
• Posted a perfect 3-0 record in Reining for the month of October with all three victories coming away from home.
• Earned a pair of MVP honors over the course of her three competitions and averaged a score of 71.2.
• Holds the SEC’s highest reining score this season against conference-only competition (73.0) and it is the second-highest score in the conference overall (all competitions).
• Has the highest margin of victory on Georgia’s western team of any athlete who has not ridden against a zero with 5.3 and also owns the highest average score of Georgia’s reining squad.
