During their cross country round on Saturday, Montgomery and Loughan Glen had a slight deviation on course between the last two fences, resulting in the Ground Jury assessing 20 penalties to the pair.
“Although disappointed in the outcome of a decision that I feel really should have gone the other way yesterday, I am extremely proud of Glen’s performance this weekend,” Montgomery said, commenting on being assessed 20 penalties during the cross country phase for a slight deviation between the last two fences. “He rose to the occasion for me. He truly is an outstanding horse and I’m really looking forward to next season already. “
