CDIO5* competition began today with Jorst and Francis contesting the Grand Prix Special. Jorst and Kastel Denmark’s Kastel Nintendo placed third on a score of 71.333% and Francis and Patricia Stempel’s Doktor were sixth on a score of 70.078%. Looking to secure the top place finish for the team, Page and Raine executed determined tests in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Page and her own Woodstock earned sixth place on a score of 73.825% while Raine and Jennifer Mason, David Wightman and her own Breanna finished in ninth place on a score of 70.075%.
“Rotterdam used a new CDIO format this week which utilized all three Grand Prix tests. The format made the competition very exciting and tense until the end as we were very close with Belgium all week,” said Chef d’Equipe Christine Traurig. “I could not be more pleased with everyone’s performances; they all rode amazingly and produced a fabulous result.”
The CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle was contested by Francis on Patricia Stempel’s Danilo, Arlene Page and her own Alina, and Brian Hafner on Rebecca Hafner and his own Lombardo LHF. All produced solid rides with Francis scoring 74.100% and fourth place, Page scoring 72.025% and fifth place, and Hafner scoring a 67.050% and eighth place.
