Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Team Finishes Sixth at CSIO5* Falsterbo

Falsterbo, Sweden – The Falsterbo Horse Show presented by Longines played host to eight nations in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup presented by Longines on Friday. Led by Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland, the Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Team earned valuable experience at CSIO5* Falsterbo, with the team finishing in sixth place.

Charlie Jacobs (Boston, Mass.) had a standout performance with CMJ Sporthorse, LLC’s Flaming Star, giving the 16-year-old Irish gelding excellent rides and having one of eight double clear rounds over a track designed by Christian Wiegand (GER) that caused a variety of problems.

Callan Solem (Glenmoore, Pa.) and VDL Wizard, Horseshoe Trail Farm LLC’s 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, made their second Nations Cup appearance this year at Falsterbo, collecting a time fault in the first round and eight faults in the second round.

Heather Caristo-Williams (Saugerties, N.Y.), also making her second Nations Cup team appearance of 2015, rode Holly and Ralph Caristo’s 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding, having two eight-fault rounds.

Kirsten Coe (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) had a rough start with Czardas 30, Lovsta Stuteri’s 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion, tallying 15 faults in the first round but improved to five faults in the second round.

The Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Team finished with a total score of 22 after two  rounds against top international combinations to finish sixth on the leaderboard. The Netherlands claimed top honors in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup presented by Longines, with Germany and Sweden tying for second.

The Longines Falsterbo Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. CET.
