Dublin, Ireland - The Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Team had a less than fortunate day in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup presented by Longines at CSIO5* Dublin in Ireland. Jumping in the fourth position, the U.S. team of Georgina Bloomberg (New York, N.Y.), Lucy Davis (Los Angeles, Calif.), Charlie Jayne (Elgin, Ill.), and Todd Minikus (Loxahatchee, Fla.) were tied for fourth place at the conclusion on round one on a score of eight faults.

Jumping first for the team were Jayne and Pony Lane Farm’s Valeska, who finished with a score of 20 faults. Second to jump were Bloomberg and Gotham Enterprizes LLC’s Lilli who had a brilliant fault-free round, matched by the other American female Davis and her longtime partner, Old Oak Farm’s Barron. Minikus jumped in the anchor position with Two Swans Farm’s Babalou 41 and ended on a score of eight faults. At the conclusion of round one, the United States was tied with Switzerland and Spain for fourth place.

Optimism for a promising result in round two was dashed with an unfortunate fall at the water jump for Jayne, followed by eight-fault performances by the other three members of the team. The U.S. finished in eighth place in the FEI Nations Cup competition which was won by host nation Ireland.
