Announcing the Egyptian Arabian Sport Horse Alliance, Inc.

by By Trisha Blackwell | May 22, 2006, 5:09 AM

In September 2005, a dedicated group of Egyptian Arabian enthusiasts met in Lexington, VA, at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals. Realizing the need for an organization that would meet the needs of owners, breeders and trainers of the Egyptian Arabian sport horse, they formed the Egyptian Arabian Sport Horse Alliance, Inc. (EASHA). One of EASHA's main goals is to increase public awareness of the Egyptian Arabian's athletic ability. The organization will offer encouragement to local association members to travel as a group to shows, trail rides, three-day events and other activities and to become a noticeable entity within the equine community. EASHA also has plans for annual awards as well as incentive programs to recognize Egyptian Arabians competing in sport horse disciplines, including reining, dressage, hunter, jumpers, eventing and driving. EASHA welcomes all admirers of Egyptian Arabians into their group, whether you own one or not. For more information, please visit www.eashalliance.org.
