This year our World Show is going back to the West Coast for our eleventh Finals. In 2004 the inaugural show was held in the City of Industry. At the request and vote of the Membership the show has traveled many places including Lake St Louis, Missouri, and Del Mar, California. We are happy to be back on the West Coast and at such a beautiful facility in Burbank, California. IFSHA is the official Friesian Recognized Breed Affiliate for the Friesian Breed with the United States Equestrian Federation and our show receives Triple Points for the USEF Horse of the Year Program as our Final Event of the Show Year.

Wednesday morning, September 30, will bring Friesian Dressage Competition and Friesian, as well as Open Western Dressage Classes. All are being judged by Olympian and Californian the Honorable Hilda Gurney. After classes there will be an opportunity for a “Meet and Greet” with the Judge at a gathering of Exhibitors. Please note there are classes in Western Dressage Open to ALL Breeds. Wednesday evening will bring competition in Trail and In-Hand Trail to the schedule with Gareth Selwood of Youngstown, New York, officiating.

The Halter Division opens competition in the “Equidome” on Thursday Morning. Judges for Performance and Halter are the Honorable Chris Bickford of Sherwood, Oregon, Michael Craighead, of Fresno, California, and, as mentioned earlier,Gareth Selwood.

In addition to the Finals for the Friesian Horse in America, IFSHA will also be hosting Open Competition for ALL BREEDS in Western, Trail, Western Dressage, English Pleasure Saddle Seat, English Pleasure Hunter Seat, and the All new USEF English Pleasure Driving.
