Harrisburg, Pa.
-- Mallory Vale of Williston, FL, and Mi Phone turned in the only clean round to claim the win in the $15,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, sponsored by The Doubleday Foundation, at the 70th Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA.

A field of 19 horses tried the 12-jump, 15-effort 1.45m course designed by Michel Vaillancourt, with all accruing faults except for Vale and Mi Phone. "I really wanted to do well because I had two unfortunate rails in the Lows and I actually listened to my husband for once," she said referring to veteran Grand Prix rider Aaron Vale. "I actually listened today and everything we talked about played out right.

"He's a careful horse," Vale continued. "He doesn't have the quickest front end sometimes so you have to hold him off the front bar a little. Sometimes that gets in the way but he was awesome tonight. It was really all him. He's a fabulous horse."

Five entries completed the course with just one rail down for four faults with second place going to Danielle Torano of Wellington, FL on Callas 2 based on having the fastest time of 61.957 seconds. Third place went to Reid Patton of Nashville, TN on Twisther. That finish was good enough to earn them the horse show's Amateur-Owner Jumper Championship. Vale and Mi Phone were reserve champions. Patton was also named Leading Amateur-Owner Jumper Rider for the horse show.

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur-owner riders in two Conferences - the East Conference and the West Conference.  The series hosts year-end finals at the National Horse Show and Las Vegas National Horse Show.
