Santo Domingo, Chile – Five talented combinations will represent the United States at the 2015 FEI World Endurance Championship for Young Riders and Juniors on Friday, October 23, at Tricao Park. Young Riders and Juniors World Endurance Championship veterans Mary Kathryn Clark (Eatonton, Ga.) and Christina Kimery (Bixby, Okla.) will lead Katie Baldino (Marietta, Ga.), Mallory Capps (Cumming, Ga.), and Maria Muzzio (Clifton, Va.) on the 120 km course against riders from 15 nations. USEF Chef d’Equipe Mark Dial will guide the group as they work to secure their second team finish in these championships. They finished in fourth place in 2011.

Clark, who competed in the 2011 and 2013 championships, brings a wealth of international endurance competition experience, having competed consistently overseas the past several years. She will ride her own Questafir, a 2004 Arabian gelding. She first competed with him earlier this spring at the 2015 Biltmore Challenge.

Kimery, a 2013 championships competitor, will look to improve upon her 41st place finish this year. She brings Jeremy and Ellen Olson’s Bey Gibby, a 2001 Arabian gelding, with whom she started competing this year. Most notably, Kimery earned a third-place finish at the 2014 Adequan/FEI North America Junior/Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North.

Baldino and Muzzio are new to the world championship. Baldino will team up with Clark’s 2006 Arabian gelding Kalilas Legacy. Muzzio will ride Natalie Muzzio's Laconic, a 2002 Arabian gelding. Capps had the privilege of competing in the 2013 Pan American Endurance Championships for Young Riders and Juniors. She will ride Lori Shifflett's Magical Mikada, a 2003 Arabian gelding.
