The Las Vegas National Horse Show is a championship event featuring "AA"-rated hunters, open jumpers, junior/amateur jumpers, and Grand Prix jumpers and draws top rider and horses from across the nation. Ozymy topped a competitive field of 25 qualified finalists in the first round and three in the jump-off aboard her own horse Curtis 57, an 8-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding. First to go in the jump-off, the pair kept their cool and produced a clear round in the fastest time of 37.177 to clinch the win. Chandler Meadows took second place aboard Petit Prince De Laume while Cristobal Callado took home third place riding Cassena.
"Going first is always really nerve-wracking," said the 17-year-old Ozymy. "I really had to discipline myself to ride my track and not worry about what everyone else was going to ride, just go in and ride my plan and if that was good enough to win then that was going to be great. I stuck to my plan and it paid off!"
Brian Collins, Director of Sales and Marketing for UltrOZ, presented Ozymy with her trophy from the Las Vegas National Horse Show. She also received an NAL coolerette, gift certificates, a gift bag with an assortment of gifts from the NAL including a commemorative NAL Finals stall plaque.
"I'd like to offer my congratulations to Ali who rode two beautiful rounds," said Collins. "We are proud to be a sponsor of the NAL and to support such talented riders as Ali and all those who compete in the NAL."
UltrOZ will be represented in Las Vegas again in less than two weeks when it participates in the 61st annual American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Convention and Trade Show, December 5-9. The AAEP is the world's largest professional organization dedicated to equine veterinary medicine and is a leading medical authority on the health and welfare of the horse. The AAEP Annual Convention attracts thousands of equine veterinarians, veterinary students, technicians, and exhibitors. Collins will be there demonstrating the state-of-the-art UltrOZ Elite.
About UltrOZ
UltrOZ Elite is the only wearable therapeutic ultrasound system for the maintenance and rehabilitation of equine athletes. UltrOZ Elite represents the next generation in safe and convenient ultrasound therapy that owners and riders can apply themselves, taking clinical therapy out of the doctor's office and into the barn.
Ultrasound therapy has been used by veterinarians for decades, and by changing the way ultrasound is delivered, UltrOZ has eliminated the risk of thermal damage and created a safe and easy tool that promotes healing in tendon and ligament injuries; splints; muscles strain and tear; fracture and bone chip repair; minor strains, bumps, bruises, and inflammation. UltrOZ Elite also provides pain relief and can be used on a daily basis for maintenance.
UltrOZ Elite has been field tested by veterinarians and equine therapists and is now being used extensively on the elite horse show circuits, racetracks, and training facilities to help keep equine athletes at the top of their game. World-class riders like Margie Engle, McLain Ward, and Charlie Jayne (show jumping), Steffen Peters (dressage) and Tim McQuay (reining) are among those whose horses have benefited from UltrOZ Elite.
