Cameron Kay Wins 2015 Junior Equestrian of the Year Award

- The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) is pleased to announce Cameron Kay as the 2015 Junior Equestrian of the Year. Horses have always been a part of 18-year-old Kay's life, as she has been riding and showing Morgans and Saddlebreds for 12 years. She was a member of the 2015 USEF Young Riders Saddle Seat Team that competed in South Africa, and came home with both the Three-Gaited Team and Individual Gold medals. A prime example of courage, sportsmanship, and dedication, Kay will be awarded the Ruth O'Keefe Meredith Memorial Trophy as the 2015 Junior Equestrian of the Year.

Over the course of her career, she has garnered 15 World and National Titles, including Champion of the 2015 American Royal USEF Saddle Seat Medal National Finals and the 2015 Mane Event NHS Good Hands National Finals. At the Morgan Grand National, she was the World Champion in Senior Saddle Seat Equitation and the Champion in the Senior UPHA Challenge Cup Finals and Grand National 16-17 Saddle Seat Equitation. At the Kentucky State Fair World’s Champion Horse Show, Kay earned Reserve world Champion Honors in Senior Equitation, 17-Year-Old Equitation, and 14-17-Year-Old Five-Gaited Division II.

Kay will receive her award at the Pegasus Awards Dinner held Friday, January 15, at The Hyatt Regency Lexington in Lexington, Ky., during the 2016 USEF Annual Meeting.
