Lexington, KY – The United States Equestrian Federation® (USEF) is pleased to announce the eleven rider/horse combinations that have been selected to compete in the 2006 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Championship. The Championship, held in Gladstone, New Jersey, June 15-18, will be a part of the USET Foundation Dressage Festival of Champions presented by Paul Miller, Inc. This year, the National Championship has also been designated as the Selection Trials for the 2006 World Equestrian Games. Therefore, riders will not only be competing for the National Championship title, they will also be vying for two of the four spots on the U.S. Dressage Team that will compete at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games later this summer in Aachen, Germany. The World Games will be held from August 20 to September 3, 2006 with the dressage competition taking place August 20-27.
The eleven rider/horse combinations that have been invited to participate in the Championship are as follows:
1. Steffen Peters of San Diego, California, riding Floriano, a 16 year old chestnut Westphalian gelding, owned by Stephen Browning and Laurelyn Browning;
2. Guenter Seidel of Cardiff, California, riding Aragon, a 14 year old grey Bavarian Warmblood gelding, owned by Richard and Jane Brown;
3. Leslie Morse of Beverly Hills, California, riding Tip Top, a 12 year old bay Swedish Warmblood stallion, owned by Leslie Morse;
4. Arlene “Tuny” Page of Wellington, Florida, riding Wild One, a 10 year old bay Hanoverian gelding, owned by Arlene Page;
5. Heather Blitz of Palm City, Florida, riding Arabella, a 10 year old chestnut Danish Warmblood mare, owned by Denise Arroyo;
6. George Williams of Delaware, Ohio, riding Marnix, a 12 year old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding, owned by Charles and Joann Smith;
7. Mette Rosencrantz of Topanga, California, riding Basquewille, a 15 year old bay Danish Warmblood gelding, owned by Mette Rosencrantz;
8. Donna Richardson of San Marcos, California, riding Jazzman, a 15 year old chestnut Dutch Warmblood gelding, owned by Donna Richardson;
9. Melissa Taylor of Wellington, Florida, riding Succes, an 11 year old grey Danish Warmblood gelding, owned by Lars Petersen;
10. Suzanne Dansby Phelps of Atlanta, Georgia, riding Cooper, a 14 year old chestnut Holsteiner gelding, owned by Suzanne Dansby Phelps;
11. Lisette Milner of Wellington, Florida, riding Eminence, an 11 year old chestnut Dutch Warmblood stallion, owned by Lisette Milner.
