Lexington, Ky. – The United States Equestrian Federation is now accepting nominations for the position of President. Nominations will be accepted by the Nominating Committee February 15-March 31, 2016. In order to be eligible for nomination, the individual must have served on the Board of Directors within the last six years, as well as demonstrate an understanding of the critical importance of the USEF’s role in international sport and have an appreciation of the dynamics and diversity of the sport nationally.
Among the President’s many duties, this individual will serve as the chairman and preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors, oversee the reporting system and checks and balances from the Councils to ensure that the Board of Directors-approved plans are followed and implemented, guide the strategic growth and direction of the USEF as approved by the Board of Directors, and preside over the volunteer leadership structure to provide inspiration and encouragement to all those who serve and contribute their time and talents.

The Nominating Committee will submit its nomination for President to the Board of Directors no later than May 20, 2016. At the Mid-Year Meeting in June, the Board of Directors will elect a President whose term will begin in January 2017 and end in January 2021.
