The Las Vegas National Makes a Big Jump in NARG Top 25

by Blenheim EquiSports | Feb 26, 2016, 10:37 PM

San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
- The Las Vegas National Horse Show, produced by Blenheim EquiSports, made a significant jump in the North American Riders Group's (NARG) annual Top 25 Horse Show report this year. Named among traditional indoor events such as the National Horse Show and the Washington International Horse Show, The Las Vegas National moved from twenty-third in 2014 to the twelfth spot in 2015. That advance in rank makes The Las Vegas National the most improved show on the list.

NARG evaluated forty-five top events in North America through a numerical scoring system that focuses on the footing, stabling, course design, ceremony, prize money and overall competitor experience as well as the audience experience from promotion to performance.

As one of fourteen shows in the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League, The Las Vegas National upped their game in 2015 with higher prize money, a new riders' lounge, a large video screen, more special awards and contests, a press conference and an increased audience. This along with great footing, courses, and world-class competitors such as Kent Farrington, Audrey Coulter, Peter Lutz, Rich Fellers, Richard Spooner, Will Simpson, Margie Engle, Matt Williams, Lucy Davis and more, made a lasting impression.

"Blenheim EquiSports feels privileged to have The Las Vegas National Horse Show chosen by the FEI as one of the seven West Coast shows in the new Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League," said Melissa Brandes, VP of Marketing. "And to be further recognized by the North American Riders Group is an honor. Our team worked tirelessly to put this event together and we look forward to doing so again this year. We hope all of you join us!"

The Las Vegas National stands apart for another key reason, as stated in the NARG Top 25 report. "No other event offers hotel rooms with a closed circuit feed of the show, dining, spa, bowling, movies, gambling, an equestrian facility with permanent stalls, and an option to order room service at the barn, all under one roof. A unique facility like the South Point Equestrian Arena can only be found in Las Vegas."
