Xalapa, Veracruz – The United States will look to increase its lead in the North America, Central America & Caribbean region of the 2016 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Series against two teams tomorrow at CSIO4* Coapexpan. Christine McCrea, Jonathan McCrea, Richard Spooner, and Ali Wolff will represent the U.S. and have drawn third in the order.

Pathfinding for the U.S. will be Jonathan McCrea with Candy Tribble’s Aristoteles V. The 2005 KWPN Stallion makes his first Nations Cup appearance after having a consistent winter show season. Jonathan McCrea and Aristoteles V placed third in the AIG $1 Million in March.

Wolff (New Albany, Ohio) with her and John Wolff’s Quirie 2 follow in the order. Wolff will use her experience during last year’s Team Gold-medal performance at the 2015 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup at CSIO4* Coapexpan to help the U.S. team. In 2016, Wolff and the 2007 German Warmblood gelding built experience in Grand Prix events and will look to improve upon their winter circuit performances at CSIO4* Coapexpan.

Christine McCrea (East Windsor, Conn.) will ride Candy Tribble and Windsor Show Stables’ Dynamo. She added the 2003 Belgian Warmblood gelding to her string of horses in February. Christine McCrea and Dynamo recently competed in the AIG $1 Million Grand Prix in March.

Anchoring the U.S. Team will be Spooner (Agua Dulce, Calif.) with Gerardo and Alfonso Pasquel’s Big Red. Spooner recently acquired the ride on the 2005 Warmblood gelding from Denmark’s Nikolaj Hein Ruus. Last September, Big Red turned heads when he and Hein Ruus placed second place in the $1 Million Dollar CP Grand Prix at HITS Saugerties. In February, Spooner and Big Red placed third in the $200,000 Longines FEI World Cup CSI3* at the Wellington Masters.

Competition gets underway tomorrow beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET live on FEI TV.
