Entering the ring with evident focus on her final test of the week, Page (Wellington, Fla.) was able to harness Woodstock’s initial excitement to deliver a fluid and powerful test. The pair displayed harmony and elasticity to score 71.745%, placing them third.

Francis and Patricia Stempel’s Danilo were not able to overcome nerves, causing bobbles in the transitions and lead changes. Despite high quality trot work, the pair scored 65.529%, placing them 14th.

This competition is a designated observation event as part of the selection process for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Dressage Team and will include CDIO5* competition for The Dutta Corp. U.S. Dressage Team. Members of the team, Allison Brock, Shelly Francis, Laura Graves, and Kasey Perry-Glass, presented their horses at the inspection today and all were deemed fit to compete in the Grand Prix Test on Saturday.

Competing in the CDI-U25, Davis and Michael Davis’ Equestricon’s Carrera produced a solid Intermediate II test, but were eliminated following the inspection at the bit check due to a small amount of blood found on the horse’s muzzle. The pair will move forward to Saturday’s Grand Prix 16-25.
