North Salem, N.Y.
- On September 14-18, 2016, the American Gold Cup CSI-W is set to return to scenic Old Salem Farm in North Salem, New York. The popular and prestigious show jumping classic annually attracts an international field of world-class riders for what has once again become one of America's most popular show jumping events.

The four-decade long history of the American Gold Cup has seen stops in Tampa, Florida, Moreland Hills, Ohio and Devon, Pennsylvania, but none of the previous facilities have matched the popularity of the beautiful show grounds at Old Salem Farm in Westchester County, NY. With millions of dollars in improvements, the show has grown in popularity year after year and has consistently placed as one of the highest ranked horse show's on the North American Rider's Group's list of the best shows in America.

In addition to the exciting show jumping, the American Gold Cup will host the all-important ASPCA Maclay Regionals for Zones 1 and 2.

With first-class competition returning annually, the prestigious Gold Cup Trophy displays the names of twelve United States Olympians, six of them Gold medalists, along with two Pan American Games Gold medalists and six World Cup Champions who have all led the round of honor at the American Gold Cup. This history makes the Gold Cup one of America's toughest show jumping tests, and what has become the proving grounds of champions and the launch pad for many of the sport's future show jumping stars.

Now entering its 46th year, and fifth year at Old Salem, the American Gold Cup competition will play host to five Longines FEI Rankings events, culminating with the prestigious $220,000 Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping New York, where the top riders will compete for the American Gold Cup. Also on the agenda, the $86,000 American Gold Cup Qualifier, the $86,000 Fidelity Investments Classic, the $35,000 Welcome Stake and the $35,000 Derby. The American Gold Cup is one of only seven events that comprise the East Coast division of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League.
