To date, over 1,000 equine organizations currently participate in the EQUUS Foundation Equine Welfare Network. Of the 130 that have achieved the EQUUS Foundation Messenger designation, Beyond The Roses Equine Rescue will be the first to receive a Hagyard $500 gift card. Messengers demonstrate their commitment to public transparency through their willingness to publish and share extensive data about their programs, horse care practices, and governance.
"These organizations struggle every day to improve the quality of life of the horses in their care," said Laura Riley, Director of Pharmacy, Hagyard Pharmacy. "We welcome this opportunity to support their effort."

"Many of the horses at BTRE are placed on joint supplements to help ease the pain and stiffness resulting from trauma to their joints over the years. Reflex 200 Equine Joint Supplement will aid our horses in the healing process by providing their joints lubrication and elasticity. We also plan to use Resolvet Repair Hoof Oil to aid with strengthening of their hooves. Thanks to Hagyard, two of our horses, Northern Half and Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk, will benefit immediately from these products," added Hirt.
Northern Half arrived recently after a racing career of 15 starts and earnings of $19,593. While he is being rehabilitated for stiffness in his back and legs and prepared for his new career, Northern Half will receive Reflex 200 to aide with daily support while keeping him comfortable and easing any pain he may have.

When Nyuk arrived, he was emaciated, sore and was diagnosed with severe arthritis in all of his ankles. Reflex 200 will provide him comfort to live out his life at BTRE as a sanctuary horse.
