Hagen, Germany – The U.S. team of Lauren Asher, Barbara “Bebe” Davis, and Kerrigan Gluch will take on seven teams in the Nations Cup as part of the Future Champions event at CDIO-Y Hagen, June 8-12. This will be the final competition of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Dressage Young Rider European Tour following CDI-Y Compiegne in May. USEF Youth Coach, George Williams, will serve as Chef d’Equipe.

Asher (San Diego, Calif.) will compete with her own De Noir 3, a 2000 Hanoverian gelding. The combination is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Grand Prix Freestyle at CDI-Y Compiegne. Davis (Wellington, Fla.) will finish the tour with Don Antonio, Jochen Arl’s 2004 Hanoverian gelding, who has received top-placings this year with Portugal’s Maria Pais Do Amaral. Davis was successful at the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival winning the Young Rider Team, Individual, and Freestyle tests during week seven. She also won the Young Rider Team Test and Young Rider Individual Test during week 12. Rounding out the U.S. contingent is Gluch (Wellington, Fla.) with Hampton Green Farm’s Vaquero HGF, a 2007 Andalusian stallion. The combination placed second in the Young Rider Individual Test and Young Rider Team Test at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby in March.

The USEF Youth Dressage Program is an extension of the USEF High Performance Dressage Program and gives up-and-coming talent exposure to high-level international competition. The USEF Dressage Young Rider European Tour enables participants to gain valuable experience under the tutelage of their personal coaches as well as Williams.

Competition begins Thursday with the Team Test beginning at 9:40 a.m. ET. Friday is the Individual Test with the top 18 from the test moving on to Sunday’s Freestyle. View the livestream at ClipMyHorse.TV.
