The United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) is proud to announce the USHJA Foundation Awards coming in 2007. The Foundation Awards were named to express what this program is for--the foundation of recognized competition. It was created to recognize the accomplishments of the grassroots equestrians and to promote the B- and C-level competitions. Awards will be presented to the top eight winners in the following divisions in each Zone:

First Year Green
Second Year Green

The points will be based on the current increment system for B- and C-rated competitions established by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). Only points earned at B- and C-rated competitions will count for this award program. Points are earned from December 1 to September 15 of each competition year. Points can only be obtained in the horse's point state. Points will not be awarded for competing in contiguous states. Points may be contested through October 10; after this date, points will not be changed.

Individuals will be required to be active members of USHJA in order to participate. Memberships must be active on or before the first day of the competition. Horses must have an annual or life recording with USEF.

In addition to the Foundation Award categories, USHJA will be presenting the winners of each of the respective divisions from affiliate organizations a certificate of congratulations and recognition.
