Annville, Pa. - Summer is heating up and riders in the North American League (NAL) are gaining points that will take them to the top of the standings.
The NAL qualifying season runs from September 1 through August 31. NAL qualifying classes are open to all competitors but only current members are awarded points. By joining the NAL, riders can accumulate the points necessary to make it to the National Finals at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA, October 13-22, and the West Coast Finals at the Las Vegas National Horse Show, in Las Vegas, NV, November 15-20. Annual memberships are only $40 per rider.
As of July 1, Olivia Lawton, of Burr Ridge, IL and Cassandra Dreams stay in the lead in the Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak. With a total of 7,485 points, they are over 1,400 points ahead of Lindsey Tomeu, of Wellington, FL and Bonapart who have maintained second place with a total of 5,999 points. Phoenix Cooke, of Chardon, OH, and Skys Burnin Blue have moved up to third place with a total of 4278 points.
Caitlyn Epperson of Houston, TX and Au Girl continue to lead the West Coast Adult Jumper Division Presented by SmartPak, with a total of 2,398 points. Emily Straw of Overland Park, KS, and Filibuster are in second place with 1,735 points while Anna Binder of Austin, TX, and Waranio hold third place with 1,286 points.
Phoebe Alwine of Delray Beach, FL and Zenith Dance have maintained their lead in the Children's Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit with a total of 5,422 points. Second placed Taje Lynn Warrick of Davie, FL, and Dersey have gained over 300 points this past month and are closing the gap with a current total of 4,614 points, while Sarah Boston of Owings Mills, MD and Herminas have gained over 1000 points to maintain third place with a total of 4,158 points.
Madison Myro of Henderson, NV and Q Royal Palm Z, has led the West Coast Children's Jumper Division Presented by EquiFit, for the past two months with a total of2,515 points. Sedona Chamblee of Keller, TX and GPS Trans Atlantic have maintained second place with 1,306 points and Katherine Gilpin of Keller, TX and Sampras, is closing the gap with a total 1,155 points, putting her in third place.
In the Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by UltrOZ, Jazz J Merton of Oldwick, NJ, and Ahaveros have gained over 1,000 points in the past month putting them in first place with 7,639 points. Sima Morgello of Bronx, NY and Zopala have dropped down to second place with 6,510 points while Caelinn Leahy of Maple Park, IL and Esquilino Bay sit in third place with a total of 6,417 points.
There were no changes in the past month in the West Coast Low Junior/Amateur Jumper Division Presented by UltrOZ. Savannah Barry of Woodside, CA and Cocu continue to lead the division with 2,832 points, while Madelyn Porter of Ladue, MO has moved into second place with 1,653 points aboard Boudi. Megan MacPherson of Boulder, CO and Deep Snow sit in third place with 1,565 points.
With a total of 2,672 points, Melanie Jeanes of Dallas, TX, and Carrera have maintained their lead in the Adult Hunter Division. They took the lead in May and have held it since. Patricia Schindler of Reisterstown, MD and Glyndon gained 450 points in the past month and have moved into second palce with a total 2,623 points and Betty Oare, of Warrenton, VA, and Zazu have taken over third place with a total of 2,491 points.
Jeanes and Carrera have also been maintained their lead in the West Coast Adult Hunter Division with 2,672 points. Amy Coretz of Tulsa, OK aboard Don Ramiro is closing the gap with 2,361 points, earning over 500 points the past month. Mary Grossman of Burlington, WI and Benvolio have moved down to third place with 1,785 points.
The Children's Hunter Division saw some big changes this month. Nicole Dorwart of Dover, PA and Rittani have taken the lead with 2,349 points and Annie Walsh of Cazenovia, NY aboard Erosmith have also moved up, taking second place with 2,127 points. Helen Lohr of Warrenton, VA and Costar are in third place with 1,916 points.
CeCe Siegfried of Tulsa, OK and Finally Found maintain their lead in the West Coast Children's Hunter Division with 1,908 points while Katherine Gilpin of Keller, TX sits in second place with 1,880 points aboard Scout. Anna Lawrence of Englewood, CO and Sirius Black hold third place with 1,766 points.
