Dublin, Ireland - The United States heads into tomorrow’s Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ presented by Longines at CSIO5* Dublin, Ireland, with heavy momentum. With one Team Gold medal, four Team Silver medals, and a spot in September’s Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping Final, the United States aims to continue its success. The Hermès Show Jumping Team of Georgina Bloomberg, Lauren Hough, Laura Kraut, and Jessica Springsteen have drawn second in the order, out of eight teams, and will be led by Chef d’Equipe Robert Ridland.

Pathfinding for the U.S. team will be Hough (Wellington, Fla.) with The Ohlala Group’s, Ohlala. She and the 2004 Swedish Warmblood mare were part of the second placed U.S. teams at CSIO5* La Baule and CSIO5* St. Gallen this spring. They also have found great success in the Global Champions Tour, with top three finishes at the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping event and at CSI5* Antwerp, Belgium.

Following in the order is Springsteen (Colts Neck, N.J.) and Cynar, Stone Hill Farm’s 2007 Dutch Warmblood gelding. Springsteen was a member of the Gold medal-winning team at CSIO5* Dublin in 2014 with Vindicat W. This will be Springsteen and Cynar’s first Nations Cup competition together. Over the summer, they have been competing heavily in the Longines Global Champions Tour. They placed fifth in the Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* during week 12 of the Winter Equestrian Festival.

Bloomberg (New York, N.Y.) and Lilli, Gotham Enterprizes LLC’s 2004 Deutsches Sportpferd mare, continue the order. Having competed in last year’s event, the experienced combination is well aware of the challenge they are up against. The 2015 Pan American Games Team Bronze medalist combination have earned six top 10 Grand Prix finishes this year. They were part of the $150,000 FEI Nations Cup™ Silver medal-winning effort at CSIO4* Wellington in March.

The 2016 U.S. Olympic Show Jumping Team alternate, Kraut (Royal Palm Beach, Fla.) will anchor the U.S. team. She will team up with Cavalia, St. Bride’s Farm’s 2007 KWPN mare. Having already helped the U.S. Team to a Silver medal-winning performance at CSIO5* Rome and CSIO5* Aachen with Zeremonie, Kraut will look to Cavalia to step up in the mare’s first Nations Cup competition.

The FEI Nations Cup™ competition begins at 10:00 a.m. ET. Watch the competition live on FEI TV.
