The Colorado Horse Park Welcomes Adequan®/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North to the Venue From July 27- July 31

Parker, CO - July 27, 2016 - The Adequan®/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC) have commenced at The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) in Parker, CO, hosting three of the Olympic disciplines featuring dressage, eventing, and show jumping competition from Wednesday, July 27, through Sunday, July 31.The facility will host 175 entries representing the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The dressage portion of competition will see a total of 61 riders hoping to reach the medal podium in the USDF North American Junior & Young Rider Championships. The Junior championship will see 32 contenders vie for top honors, while 29 competitors will contest the Young Rider championship portion of competition. The Junior Team championship will host seven U.S. teams competing alongside one Canadian team, and one individual representing Mexico. The Young Rider Team championship will feature six U.S. teams, as well as team from Quebec and a Combined Canadian team featuring riders from Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta.

The USHJA North American Junior & Young Rider Championships are set to welcome 52 total entries, with 23 pairs entered in the Young Rider Individual championship and 29 entries set to contest the Junior Rider Individual championship. A single Canadian team, two Mexican teams, alongside four teams from the United States will be represented in the Junior Team championship. A team from Mexico and four teams from the U.S. will line up to stake their claim in the Young Rider Team championship.

A field of 59 event riders will test their talents throughout the week in the USEA North American Junior Eventing Championship, as 44 competitors will contest the CCI 1* and 15 combinations are ready to tackle the CIC 2* portion of competition. Two Canadian teams and seven U.S. teams are set to take on the CCI 1*, while three U.S. teams and a single Canadian team will vie for medals in the CIC 2* competition.
