Westport, Conn.
- The EQUUS Foundation Humanitarian Award was jointly established by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and the EQUUS Foundation in 2009 to celebrate the humanitarian achievements made by members of the equine community.

The award will be presented at the Pegasus Awards Dinner on Friday, January 13, 2017, during the USEF Annual Meeting in Lexington, Kentucky. The recipient will have the opportunity to select an equine charity on the Foundation's Equine Welfare Network to receive a $5,000 grant from the EQUUS Foundation.

The nomination deadline is October 28, 2016.

Nomination information and the link to the online nomination form is available here. For more information about the nominations process, contact Trisha Watkins at the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) at [email protected].

The EQUUS Foundation is the only national charity solely dedicated to horse welfare and the horse-human bond. We provide resources to over 1,000 equine charities across the United States, and award over $250,000 annually to organizations operating at the highest standards for horse care and use, and for programs where it is needed most.
