The United States Equestrian Federation is seeking an individual to fill the position of Show Jumping Chef d’Equipe. The successful candidate will be provided with a contract for the 2005-2008 quadrenium and possibly longer.
A Search Committee has been appointed (Eric Straus, Chairman, Norman Dello Joio, Anne Kursinski, George Morris, Karen O’Connor, Jessica Ransehousen, and Robert Ridland). The Committee is charged with developing a job description for the Chef d’Equipe, conducting a search for the individual who will fill this position, and making a recommendation which will be reviewed by the Show Jumping High Performance Committee and the High Performance Working Group, and approved by the USEF Executive Committee.
The Committee invites riders who are currently included on the USET Computer List, their owners, and other interested individuals to participate in two forums to provide their input on this important position:

The Committee suggests that the successful candidate will have the following qualities:
•The will to win;
•Successful international experience as a rider, coach, and/or chef d’equipe at the Championship level;
•Proven leadership ability to guide the High Performance Plan to the Championship level;
•Demonstrated ability to work successfully with: athletes, veterinarians, owners, and fellow USEF staff members; and
•Provide assurance that personal conflicts of interest do not exist.
